Individual Counseling

Individual counseling involves a one-on-one meeting to address personal issues. The aim is to help the individual better understand their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships, and to develop coping strategies and skills to manage them effectively.

Individual counseling addresses a wide range of issues including :
 

  1. Anxiety and stress management

  2. Depression and mood disorders

  3. Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Personal therapy

Couple Counseling

Couple counseling focuses on improving the relationship between two people, namely, husband and wife. Couple counseling sessions typically involve both partners attending therapy sessions together although individual sessions may also be included as needed.

 

The primary goals of couple counseling are to:

  1. Improve communication

  2. Resolve conflicts

  3. Enhance intimacy

  4. Address specific issues

  5. Strengthen the relationship

Couple therapy

Family Counseling

Family counseling focuses on improving communication and resolving conflicts within a family unit. Family counseling sessions typically involve all or most family members attending therapy sessions together although individual sessions or sessions with specific family subsets may also be included as needed.
 

The main goals of family counseling include:

  1. Enhancing communication within the family unit

  2. Resolving conflicts and disagreements

  3. Addressing specific issues including marital problems, parent-child conflicts, substance abuse, mental illness, grief and loss, and life transitions.

Family therapy

Group Counseling

Group counseling involves working with a small group of individuals who share similar concerns or issues. Sessions are led by a counselor who facilitates discussions with the objective of meeting specific needs of the group.
 

Key aspects of group counseling:

  1. Sharing concerns such as anxiety, depression, addiction or relationship problems and creating a sense of belonging and validation within the group
  2. Supporting one another to feel better understood and accepted as well as gain new perspectives on their own experiences

  3. Incorporating skill-building exercises to help participants develop coping strategies, communication skills, and problem-solving techniques.

  4. Normalizing of experiences to reduce feelings of isolation and stigma and foster a sense of community within the group
